Renegade 4WD Club Membership Info

The Renegade 4-Wheel-Drive Club was formed in January 1996 by a group of friends in Atlanta, Georgia to enjoy high challenge 4-wheeling. Members should have capable 4WD trail vehicles and be experienced drivers or be willing to learn.

A prospective member must be at least 21 years old and must submit a membership application and meet the membership requirements. This is a family-oriented club, so membership includes spouse and children. New members will be provided with the current membership list.
A prospective member must meet these requirements before becoming a Member in the Renegade 4WD Club.
Member requirements:
- Age 21 or over
- Valid driver's license
- Attend at least one meeting
- Attend at least one trail ride
Vehicle requirements:
- At least one locker (limited slip or posi-traction not sufficient)
- 33" diameter mud tires (all-terrains not sufficient)
- Front and rear tow hooks
- 20' tow strap (stretchable kind)
- CB radio
- Vehicle licensed, tagged and insured
Membership dues are $40 per year, payable in January.
Club membership includes membership in Southern Four Wheel Drive Association and their quarterly Trail Mix newsletter. Southern also includes membership in United Four Wheel Drive Associations and their quarterly United Voice newspaper.
Meetings are monthly at a date and location to be determined for that month. Meetings are generally at 7:30pm (dinner at 6:30pm) on the first Monday of the month. Check our home page for exact date and time. The club does not have a formal newsletter.
Trail Rides are monthly to public and private OHV areas in the southeast. Rides are usually day-long excursions, with some overnight trips (motel or camping) and weekend outings. Also, we usually take an annual trip to the western United States (Moab, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, etc).

Members are encouraged to have an Internet email address for communicating with other members. Most club news is passed around through email. The club's email address is(new email address).

Prospective members should contact the following person for more information and the date, time, and location of the next meeting. You can pick up an application form at the meeting. Do not pay dues when submitting your application. Your application must be approved by the membership before you can join.

Note that new members will be required to sign the following statements on the application form:

"I am at least 21 years of age. I certify that I hold a valid Driver's License and legally required liability insurance. I have health insurance. My vehicle is registered and tagged. I understand that there are certain risks associated with 4-wheeling and driving 4WD vehicles on roads and trails, including vehicle damage and personal injury. I understand that alcohol or drug use is strictly forbidden before or during Club rides."
