Beasley Knob ORV Area, Blairsville, GA

Renegade 4WD Club      July 6, 1997

Beasley Knob OHV Area is a small 4WD trail area just east of Blairsville, Georgia. It has the distinction of being the closest OHV area to Atlanta, where we live. This area is know for very steep hill climbs and perpetually damp and slick trails. It makes driving a challenge.

Tim Bramble (Bramble@mindspring.com) drove his Jeep CJ 7 up this steep hill without much problems. Trails in this area are typically very overgrown. The warm climate, plentyful rain, and lots of sun make all the plants grow rapidly.

Tim Bramble a little higher up on the same hill.

Sam Houston (shouston@ix.netcom.com) in his Samurai on one of the mountains in the back of the OHV area. This hill is very steep, but you can't really tell from the photo.

Sam is stuck in his Samurai on some larger rocks by the rear wheels. Stefan Roth is unspooling the winch.

Billy Gilbert was a visitor for one of our club runs and he did very well with his Jeep CJ 7.
