On July 24, 2004, the Renegade 4WD Club from Atlanta met the Scenic City 4WD Club from Chattanooga for some excellent trail riding on the trails at Hummerland.

While the weather was hot and muggy, the ample tree cover kept down the temperatures and shielded us from the sun.

Important Note:   Hummerland is private land and is not open for public use! The trails are gated and patrolled. DO NOT TRESPASS! Violators may be arrested. If you do not have explicit permission from the owner, you are trespassing. There are occassional events at Hummerland, but otherwise the owner does not give permission to ride on his land.

We spent a lot of time driving in dry washes. These have no water until it rains, which it hadn't. The rocks were medium to large sized, but not too slick so they were passable by skilled drivers.
