Thank you to David Beihoff for providing the pictures and writing the descriptions.
David Lawrence had recently bought a used and rolled Wrangler specifically for 'wheeling out in the west (David is from Tennessee). This nearly stock Wrangler (only upgrade was a winch) did admirably well in Moab, mostly due to David's driving skills. His regular vehicle in Tennessee is a well-built FJ-40 Land Cruiser.

Due to time and work constraints, Sam Houston couldn't drive his Samurai from Georgia to Moab, so he rented a Jeep TJ in Moab from Farabee's 4x4 and went 4-wheeling with it. Everyone was impressed with the performance of the stock TJ.

Tim Bramble drives a '84 Jeep CJ-7 with Warn XD9000i winch, dual Optimas, ARB air lockers front and rear, 2.5 inch lift, ConFerr shackles, 32x11.5 BFG MT's, and many more upgrades.

Mesa Trail. This hill had to be a nearly 45 degree slope.

Following Tim was easy because Tim always picked the best line over
every obstacle.

The axle articulation Tim's Jeep is capable of is one of the reasons
there aren't too many obstacles in Moab that gave Tim much difficulty.

dragged their bumpers down this one and Tony made short work of going
back up the step so that he could give David Lawrence a tug when David
got high centered here.
