Monteagle Trail Description

Important Note:   The land around Monteagle is private land and is not open for public use!
DO NOT TRESPASS! You may be arrested and the land owners will close the trails to everyone!
We go there with local people that have permission to use the trails. If you do not have permission, you are trespassing.

Monteagle is a large variety of terrain. There is everything from mild dirt roads to mud holes to rocks to steep hill climbs. None of the sub regions are really that large. Rain can make a lot of difference in the difficulty. There are a lot of dry "creek" beds that many not have any water in them for months until a real rain comes along.

All of it is private property. Property sizes vary a lot, from a few hundred to a few thousand acres. There are many gates to keep out trespassers. Some property owners will give permission to people they know during some times of the year.
