Stefan on the two-way part of Black Bear Pass Road with aspens in full
color, Bridal Veil Falls, and the power house in the background. |
|
View back towards Ingram Falls (little white line near the center of the
photo) from just outside Telluride. |
Zoomed in view of the same area. Black Bear Pass Road crosses Ingram Creek
about 20 feet upstream of the falls right after an off camber descent
(seen in the previous photo book). |
A colorful hillside off of Last Dollar Road between Telluride and Ridgeway.
|
Another hillside off of Last Dollar Road. We passed numerous painters
on this road who were capturing the views with paint and canvas. |
Day 4 ... Heading up Yankee Boy Basin Road through the aspens. The colors
cannot be captured on film by rank amateurs like me (Sam). |
Among the Aspen trees. I think I need to sell this photo to Jeep and/or
Teraflex. |

Turning around on the shelf road to Richmond Basin. The picture does
not do the pucker factor justice. We passed a couple who had been driving
this road all month while hunting and the road surface was so slippery
it was hard to walk on. We thought they were nuts for continuing on (in
stock trucks), they thought we were nuts for turning around on the shelf
road. Sam's father is in the background, apparently the only sane individual. |

A view up to Imogene Pass, which we could not reach due to snow. |
Imogene Pass is at the extreme left side of the picture. Sam's father
is overlooking the basin on the Ouray side of the pass. |
The shelf road on Imogene heading back towards Ouray. The line of trees
crossing the picture from left to right goes up Richmond Basin. |
