The Renegade 4WD Club held a stock vehicle ride to the Rich Mountain trail just
north of Ellijay, Georgia. This trail is a very easy trail and the ground was
dry, giving our stock vehicles no trouble at all.

Stefan Roth
leading the group in his '98 Cherokee. This part of the trail is
the first noticable obstacle. It's fun in stock vehicles, but otherwise nothing
noteworthy.
Matthias Roth in his '97 Toyota Tacoma pickup.
Barron Cain
in his newly rebuilt CJ-7. Obviously, it's not stock, but just on
another test run after a massive rebuilding project after an on-road accident.
A guest, Kevin, on a first time ride.
This is Steve Turek driving his wife's Suzuki
Sidekick on the trail. Besides having street tires, no ground clearance, no
axle articulation, no torque, and too-high low range, it's not a bad offroad
vehicle. Steve is a very skillful driver, so the little Sidekick did make it
through the trail (and back again).
This is
Patrick Corkren's new 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It
has a lift and he is working on modifying it more.
No, you didn't have to drive through the mud hole. There was a way
around, but Steve wanted to test the Sidekick anyway. He had to back out.
Steve Turek: "I didn't even know anymore what it is like to drive without a
locker."
Becky Bramble, daughter of Tim, in front of
an old (and recently collapsed) log cabin, probably from some early
settlers. More recently used by hunters and perhaps some kids.
Thanks for visiting!!!
