Southern 4WD Association Meeting

Several members of the Renegade 4WD Club went to the Southern 4WD Association meeting and trail rides on March 7, 1998 at Royal Blue State Recreation Area just north of Knoxville, TN. The meeting was hosted by the Atomic City 4 Wheelers, who lead the rides during the weekend.

The weather started out ok, but later in the day as we were deep in the woods, it started raining more and more. It made the trails more challenging, but winching in the rain with approaching darkness gets old after a while.

Additional pictures from a different group on another trail ride. These were provided by Sam Houston. The pictures are mainly of Steve Turek, one of our founding members. Steve's Cherokee isn't really big and tall, but it does amazingly well due to dual lockers and lots of driver's skill!
