by Stefan Roth
On May 26, members of the Renegade 4WD Club and Smoky Mountain Trail Riders got together for a trail ride near Tellico Plains, Tennessee.
The Smoky Mountain Trail Riders were our host and trail leader for this ride and we want to thank them for a really great time!
We first spent an enjoyable Friday evening campging together in one of the campgrounds in the Tellico Ranger District, Cherokee National Forest. We found a large group camp site, ate dinner, and then sat around the camp fire telling tall tales.

Airing down tires in the morning
Early Saturday morning we headed for the trails. The weather was warm and it hadn't rained in a while, so the trails were dry and not slick at all. We had about ten vehicles. Despite the dry conditions, we had quite a bit of minor breakage problems - including front coil springs coming loose, tires coming off the bead, overheating, etc.
